Before linking, it is important to understand what is expected to transfer between Samsung Health and MyFitnessPal.
Weight - Weight will transfer between both apps (updating in both directions)
Food - Calories added to MyFitnessPal will transfer to Samsung Health.
(Please note: Food copied from a friend's diary will not transfer to Samsung Health.)
Steps - Steps tracked in Samsung Health will transfer to MyFitnessPal once selected as a step source in the MyFitnessPal app
Exercises - Exercises will transfer between both apps. Workouts added to Samsung Health will transfer to MyFitnessPal and workouts added to MyFitnessPal will transfer to Samsung Health.
(Please note: Walking exercises do not transfer from Samsung Health to MyFitnessPal)
To Link Samsung Health:
- Open MyFitnessPal app
- Find Apps & Devices under the Menu (More...)
- Search for Samsung Health and then tap Connect.
- You should see a pop up for permissions regarding the Samsung Health integration.
- Turn the integration On and then allow all permissions (needed for sync to work properly)
- Please note you will need to scroll down on this pop up to see all of the permissions.
- Finally, Tap Done to finish the set up.
To Set Samsung Health as your Step Source:
- Open MyFitnessPal app
- Find Steps under the Menu (More...)
- Select Samsung Health
