Introducing MyFitnessPal’s support for GLP-1 medication. Here you can track your GLP-1 dose, time, and location alongside the food on your Diary.
Getting Started
If you indicated during account setup or in response to a question that you are currently taking or about to start a GLP-1 prescription (e.g., Ozempic, Mounjaro, Zepbound, etc.), the tracker is already integrated into your Diary.
For those who weren’t provided with the opportunity to opt-in during signup, you can find the option to turn it on from More (•••) in the bottom right > GLP-1 Support
If you do not have the More (•••) menu in the bottom right of your app screen, tap the Profile Icon in the upper right of your screen instead > Then tap GLP-1 Support.
Please note: GLP-1 support is only currently available for users in the US using the app in English.
During the setup, you’ll be entering:
- Brand and last dosage of your prescription
- Date and injection location you took the dose
And a reminder about medication tracking -
Drug information is entered by you - we do not verify medication, doses, timing, or safety, and do not alert you to missed/extra doses, risks, interactions, contraindications or side effects. Please always follow your prescriber’s instructions. Any content we provide is for general reference only.
How do I log my GLP-1 medication?
To log your next GLP-1 dose, access the tracker either above your daily meals or by tapping the blue "+" at the bottom of the screen. You can log your dose at any time, before or after administration, by tapping on the tracker.
The tracker will automatically pre-fill your last logged dose and location. The time, however, will default to the current date and time. You can easily update any of these fields as needed.
How do I edit or delete my GLP-1 medication?
If you need to update or delete a previously logged dose, it’s as easy as updating a food log.
- Use the date picker at the top of the screen to visit the day of the dose you want to update.
- Tap on the entry above your meals or the GLP-1 medication option via the blue + at the bottom of the screen to bring up the details
- Tap Edit Medication Log
To delete the entry
- Tap Delete Log under the listed details
To update the entry
- Tap on any field that needs to be updated and make the appropriate changes
- Make sure to tap Save Changes when the details all look right
FAQs
Can I track other medications/supplements/vitamins?
The GPL-1 tracker is designed with GLP-1 dosage and logging specifically in mind. We do not recommend using it to track other medications.
We are looking into adding support for additional medications in the future.
Can I pre-log my dose?
Yes! Use the date picker at the top of the screen to visit the day and log as normal
Why can I only log in mg?
At this time you can only log your dose in milligrams. We are looking into whether we can expand this with a future update.
Can I be reminded to log my dose?
When logging your dose, tap the ••• in the upper right of the page. Here you can Edit your medication schedule and set when you will normally be taking your medication. You can also turn on a reminder notification if you need a little nudge if you haven't logged it yet for the week.
