This article explains how to block and unblock users on the MyFitnessPal website. You can’t use this feature in the apps. You’ll learn how to block someone to stop their messages and how to manage your blocked users list.
By default, MyFitnessPal allows users to message each other. If you'd like to stop someone from contacting you, you can easily block them.
Note: Blocking is only available on the MyFitnessPal website right now. If you block someone there, they will also be blocked from messaging you in the mobile app. You can view or remove people from your blocked users list, too.
How to block a user on the website:
- Go to our website: www.myfitnesspal.com
- Log in to your account. If you use the mobile app, log in with the same email and password you use there
- Click My Home
- Click the envelope icon at the top right of the screen, next to your username, to open your inbox
- Open a message from the user you want to block
- Click the Block button, which is near Reply and Delete
After you block someone, they will not be able to send you messages anymore.
How to view or remove users from your blocked users list:
- Go to our website: www.myfitnesspal.com
- Log in to your account. If you use the mobile app, log in with the same email and password you use there
- Click My Home
- Click the envelope icon at the top right of the screen, next to your username, to open your inbox
- In the left column, select Blocked Users
- When the list appears, you can see all blocked usernames. To unblock someone, click the trash can icon next to their name. To unblock several users at once, check the boxes on the left and then click Unblock Selected at the bottom
