Tracking your daily water intake
iOS
- Open the MyFitnessPal app.
- On the Today screen, scroll down to the Healthy Habits section and tap the Water card.
- Tap the Log water button, and enter the number of cups you'd like to log. Tap Change Unit if you prefer a different measurement.
- Tap the Checkmark in the top right to save.
Android
- Open the MyFitnessPal app.
- On the Today screen, scroll down to the Healthy Habits section and tap the Water card.
- Enter the number of cups you'd like to log. Tap the Gear icon in the upper right, then tap on the water unit if you prefer to change to a different measurement.
- Tap Save at the bottom.
Water
- Log in to the website using the same email and password you use with the app.
- Click the Food tab, then scroll to the bottom of the page.
- Find the Water Consumption area and click the pencil icon to the right to edit it. The ability to change units will be listed on the left.
- Click one of the common water sizes to add it to your day, or enter your running total directly.

Water goals are managed separately from logging. Check your goal settings to set a target you'd like to hit each day.
Will my water log sync between my phone and the website?
Yes, as long as both are connected to the internet and signed into the same account.
Can I log water for a previous day?
Yes. Navigate to that day in your diary first, then follow the same steps to log water for it.
