Distinguishing between natural and processed sugar is not currently an available feature. This article explains a workaround for tracking natural sugars separately from processed sugar.
Sugar isn't all the same, and we get why you'd want to see the difference. There's no dedicated natural-vs-processed sugar tracker built in yet, but the following workaround should work in the meantime.
- Create a new meal category, such as "Fruits and Vegetables," dedicated to foods containing natural sugars.
- Log any food with natural sugar under that meal instead of your regular meals.
- View your diary on the full website or the iPad app, where nutrients are subtotaled per meal. This lets you see your total natural sugar intake for the day at a glance.
Frequently asked questions
Does this workaround affect my daily calorie or nutrient goals?
No. It only changes which meal a food is logged under — your daily totals stay the same.
Is there a limit to how many foods I can log under my sugar-tracking meal?
No. Log as many items as you'd like under that meal category.
