Currently, the only way to preview the nutritional information of an item in our mobile apps is via the food logging process. You may always choose to cancel the process before adding the food to your diary, or delete the item if you change your mind.
It is possible to search the food database separately from the food logging process, using our full website at www.myfitnesspal.com. Mobile app users should log in using the same username and password they use in the app. Once you've logged in, click the "Food" tab, then click "Database."
