MyFitnessPal makes it easy to manage your recipes, so you can keep your food log accurate as your eating habits change. You can update ingredients, change portion sizes, or remove recipes you no longer need. Knowing how to use these features helps you track your nutrition and stay on top of your goals.
To edit a recipe:
iOS app:
- Open the More menu
- Tap My Meals, Recipes & Foods
- Next, select Recipes
- Choose the recipe you want to edit
- Tap Edit Recipe
- When you're done, tap ✓ to save your changes
Android app:
- Open the Menu
- Tap Recipes, Meals & Foods
- Next, select Recipes
- Tap the recipe you want to edit
- Tap the three dots • • • in the top right corner
- Select Edit Recipe
- Use the plus icon to add ingredients
- Tap an ingredient to change the number of servings or the serving size
- Tap the box next to an item to select it, then tap the trash can at the top of the page to delete it
- Tap ✓ when you are finished
Website (Recipe Importer - English Only):
- Select Food from the menu
- Next, choose Recipes
- Pick a recipe you want to change, then select Edit Recipe
- To add new ingredients, click the Add Ingredient button
- Move your mouse over any ingredient to see options to edit the quantity, replace it, or remove it
- When you finish, click Save or Save & Log It
To delete a recipe:
iOS app:
- Open the More Menu
- Then tap My Meals, Recipes & Foods
- Next, tap Recipes
- Swipe from right to left across the item
- Then tap Delete
Android app:
- In the Menu tap Recipes, Meals & Foods
- Then tap Recipes
- Tap the three dots • • • on the top left corner
- Select Edit
- Check the box next to the recipes you want to delete
- Then tap the Delete (trash can) button in the top right
Website:
- Click Food
- Click Recipes
- Hover your mouse over the recipe you want to delete
- Click the Remove button that appears to the right of the recipe name
