With one of the world's largest databases - 19 million foods and counting! - we are constantly reviewing the foods in our database to create the best experiences for our users. To do this, MyFitnessPal uses a variety of tools and resources to review the accuracy and completeness of information associated with food entries. When we have reviewed or added a food to our database and believe that the nutrition information is accurate, the food is marked with a .
We are always working to improve the accuracy of nutrition information for foods, and new foods are being added all the time. Just because food is not a food does not mean it has inaccurate nutrition information.
Occasionally even food marked with a may have nutrition information inaccuracies. If you notice an entry is incomplete or inaccurate, please see this article on how to report the food so our team can update it.
Medications
Some of our users would like to use MyFitnessPal to log their medications, including medications related to weight loss or weight management.
We have marked some medication entries with a when we have independently verified that the information made available about such medications (e.g., dosage) is accurate at the time of our review.
