This article explains how to set up, edit, and remove logging reminders on iOS and Android.
Busy days happen, and logging can slip your mind. A reminder at the right time keeps you on track without you having to think about it.
Push notification reminders are not currently available on the website.
Setting up reminders
iOS
- Open the MyFitnessPal app.
- Tap the Profile Icon in the upper right corner of the screen to open the menu.
- Scroll down and tap Reminders.
- Tap the + sign in the upper right corner.
- Tap under where it says Remind me if I haven’t logged, and choose what meal you want a reminder for.
- Select the Time you’d like to receive the reminder.
- Tap the Check mark in the upper right corner to save your reminder.
Android
- Open the MyFitnessPal app.
- Tap the Profile Icon in the upper right corner of the screen to open the menu.
- Scroll down and tap Reminders.
- Tap the + sign in the lower right corner.
- Tap under where it says Remind me if I haven’t logged, and choose what meal you want a reminder for.
- Select the Time you’d like to receive the reminder.
- Tap the Check mark in the upper right corner to save your reminder.
To turn off a reminder without deleting it, use the toggle next to it in the list.
To delete a reminder completely, swipe it from right to left to reveal the Delete option (iOS) or tap the pencil icon in the upper right of the page and then the trash icon (Android).
Make sure your phone's general push notification settings allow MyFitnessPal to send notifications, or reminders won't come through.

Can I set more than one reminder?
Yes. Add as many reminders as you'd like, each with its own time and type.
What happens if I've turned off notifications for MyFitnessPal at the phone level?
Reminders won't come through even if they're set up correctly in the app. Check your phone's notification settings for MyFitnessPal first.
