This article explains how to use Quick Log to add a food to your diary in a single tap.
Quick Log is not the same as Quick Add. Quick Log logs a searched food instantly with its current portion. Quick Add skips search entirely and lets you enter a calorie amount directly. See our article on Quick Add if that's what you need instead.
You’ll find Quick Log in app version 22.5.0 or later. If you don’t see Quick Log, make sure your app is up to date.
Using Quick Log in the apps
iOS and Android
- Open the MyFitnessPal app and go to your Today page.
- Tap Log next to your meal or tap the plus button (+) in the lower right to open the food search page.
- When you search for a food, you’ll see a plus sign to the right of each item. Tap the plus sign to log the food with its current portion.
- You’ll then see a notification letting you know that the item was logged successfully to your diary. You can keep tapping the plus sign to add more foods while you’re still on the search page
If you want to change the portion before logging, tap the item, adjust the portion, then tap Log or the Check mark in the top right corner.
Logging quickly on the website
While the exact same Quick Log feature isn't available on the website, there's still a way to log food quickly.
- Log in to the website with the same email address and password you use with the app.
- Click on the Food tab, then click Add Food under the meal you want to log to.
- You'll be presented with a list of your frequently logged items. To the left of those items, there will be a check box.
- Check the box for all items you want to log at once, then click Add Checked.
