Frequently asked questions
Do recipes I create on my phone show up on the website?
Yes. Recipes save to your account, not to one device. Create a recipe on iOS or Android, and it appears in Your Recipe Box on the website too. Sign in with the same email address on every device.
Can I change a recipe after I save it?
Yes. You can update ingredients, servings, and the recipe name at any time. See how to edit or delete a recipe.
How does MyFitnessPal calculate the nutrition for each serving?
We add up the nutrition for every ingredient, then divide by the number of servings you entered. Getting the serving count right matters, so double-check it before you save. You can also view the ingredients in a recipe to confirm each match.
Why don't I see the option to import a recipe from a link?
The Recipe Importer works in English only. Set your device language to English in the app, or switch to the English version of the website. You can still create a recipe in any language by entering ingredients yourself.
Can I make a copy of a recipe instead of building a new one?
Yes, and it's the fastest way to create a variation. See how to copy or duplicate a saved recipe.
