This article explains the Food Timestamps feature in MyFitnessPal Premium. With this feature, you can track when you eat to see how meal timing affects your energy and workouts. Right now, it is only available on iOS and Android apps. When you log items at the same time, they show the time and are grouped together.
For someone who tracks what they eat, it can be just as important to know what time they ate that meal as well. MyFitnessPal Premium offers our users the ability to track when they eat their food using our Food Timestamps feature! This feature allows users to learn how when they eat can impact their energy, workouts and more. Currently, this is only offered on our iOS and Android apps.

How do I access Food Timestamps?
To access Food Timestamps, you first need to ensure that the feature is turned on. To do so on our iOS and Android apps:
- Tap the More or Menu button > Settings > Diary Settings > Enable "Show Food Timestamps."
How do Food Timestamps work?
Once enabled, you will see the feature when you log your next meal! On the Add Food page, a "Time" option will show with the closest current time. If you tap "Time" on iOS, you can adjust the time depending on when you ate the item. After logging the item, the time will display just above the entry logged. Multiple items that are logged at the same time will be grouped together.
