This article explains how to use Multi-Day Logging to add the same food to up to 7 days in a single entry, where the feature is available, and what to do if you don't see it.
Some foods earn a permanent spot in the rotation. The same oatmeal every morning. The same chicken and rice every Tuesday. The giant pot of chili that's feeding you straight through Friday. Multi-Day Logging lets you log that food once and have it log on every day you pick, so you spend less time in your diary and more time actually enjoying the food.
Multi-day logging is available with a Premium or Premium+subscription. This feature is available on the iOS and Android apps.
Log a food to multiple days
iOS and Android
- Open the MyFitnessPal app.
- On the Today page, tap Log to the right of the meal you want to add your food to, such as Breakfast or Lunch.
- Search for the food you want to log, then tap it to open its details.
- Choose your serving size and the number of servings.
- The Add to Multiple Days option will be shown above the nutrient information. Tap each day you want this food on. You can select up to 7 days.
- Tap the Check mark or Log in the upper right corner to save the food to every day you selected.
- Your food now appears in your diary on each day you chose. You can edit or delete any of those entries the same way you would edit a single entry.
Common uses for Multi-Day Logging
- Daily staples: Your morning coffee, protein shake, or multivitamin for the whole week.
- Repeat breakfasts: The breakfast you always eat, logged across several days. You can still change any day later.
- Work lunches: The lunch you packed for Monday through Friday.
- Everyday snacks: The afternoon yogurt or piece of fruit you reach for most days.
- Batch cooking: Cooked a big pot of something? Log it for each day you plan to eat it.
Logging ahead does more than save you taps. Seeing the rest of your week already mapped out makes it easier to spot where you might want a little more protein or fiber, and to adjust before the day arrives. If planning ahead is your thing, learn how to use the Meal Planner too.
