To access Meal Planner you will need to have your device language set to English, running app version 25.10.0 or higher. At this time, the Meal Planner is not available on our website.
You can find Meal Planner by downloading the MyFitnessPal app and heading to the "Plan" tab at the bottom of your home screen.
After tapping the "Plan" button you will be taken through a series of intake questions designed to create a meal plan based on your specific needs and preferences. The questions will revolve around your goals, challenges, diet and cuisine preferences, how much time you have to cook, allergies, restrictions and dislikes.
Once the onboarding questions have been completed, you will then see the screen below. Tap "+Create Meal Plan"
Next, select when you want to start your Meal Plan, then select the dates for your Meal Plan. You can create a minimum of a 2 day meal Plan, or a maximum 15 day meal plan.
You will then be taken to a screen where you can check or un-check the meal boxes for the time period you chose. The check boxes indicate the meals that will be generated in your meal plan.
When you're done selecting the meals you'd like to plan for, you will then see the option to review the recipes we've selected on the following few screens. If you're not interested in any of the recipes that were selected for you, tap the "Swap" icon shown in the red box below:
When you're done reviewing the selected meals that have been created for you, tap "Next". You will then be asked if you'd like to share a link to your meal plan with members in your household. When the recipient opens the link you have shared with them, they'll be able to see a list of all the meals that have been planned, along with the grocery list. If you don't need to share a link to your meal plan, tap "Skip for now".
You will then be taken to a page where you can check off all the items need to make these meals that you already have in your pantry. When you're done, tap "Next".
On the following screen you'll be presented with the option to have your grocery list ordered through a grocery service. Delivery or pick up services will vary depending on your location, they will also differ between iOS and Android. If you'd prefer to shop in-store, tap "No Thanks".
That's it! Your Meal Plan and grocery list have been completed. You will then see a screen titled "Plan" where you'll be presented with the overview of your plan, as well as options to edit, swap, or log the meals that have been selected for you.
To access your Meal Plan settings, tap the Gear Icon in the upper right hand corner. To delete your Meal Plan, tap the "More..." button near the top of your screen > then tap "Delete Current Plan".
