This article explains how to switch between two MyFitnessPal accounts or add a second account on the same device. It also explains why each account needs its own email address.
Sharing a phone with a partner, or keeping your goals separate? You can use more than one account on the same device. Each account keeps its own diary and progress.
Things to note
- Each account needs its own email address, username, and password.
- You can only use one email address with one account.
- Log out of your current account before you log into or create another.

Switching accounts or creating a second account
iOS
- Open the MyFitnessPal app.
- Tap the More menu in the bottom right. If you don't see a More menu, tap your Profile icon in the upper right instead.
- Tap Settings.
- Tap Log out.
Next, choose what you'd like to do:
- Switch accounts: Tap Log in. Enter the email and password for your other account.
- Add a new account: Tap Sign Up. You’ll need to use a different email address.
Android
- Open the MyFitnessPal app.
- Tap the More menu in the bottom right. If you don't see a More menu, tap your Profile icon in the upper right instead.
- Tap Log out.
Next, choose what you'd like to do:
- Switch accounts: Tap Log in. Enter the email and password for your other account.
- Add a new account: Tap Sign Up. Enter your new email address, username, and password.

Frequently asked questions
Why does each account need its own email address?
We send password resets and other account emails to the address on file. One email per account keeps your account secure.
Does my Premium subscription cover both accounts?
No. Each account would need its own separate subscription.
Can I combine my two accounts into one?
No. Accounts can not be combined or merged.
