Right now, our program only calculates calories for exercises you log in the Cardiovascular section. It’s hard to estimate calories burned during strength training because it depends on things like the amount of weight you lift, how intense your workout is, and how much rest you take between sets. For this reason, we don’t automatically calculate calories burned from strength training exercises.
If you want, you can look for the same or a similar exercise in our Cardiovascular database. If you don’t find it, you can search for the exercise titled Strength training in the cardiovascular database. Please keep in mind that this is just a rough estimate and may not be very accurate.
If you know how many calories you burned from a heart rate monitor or another tracking device, you can add a custom exercise to your personal database.
Alternatively, our Workout Routines feature (available only on iPhone and Android devices set to English) lets you build a gym routine from a large database of strength and cardio exercises. It combines your strength exercises into one workout and adds the calorie burn to your diary.
