This article explains how to find and use Food Lists, a MyFitnessPal Premium feature that ranks the foods you've logged from highest to lowest in calories or in a specific nutrient.
Your nutrition charts tell you what your day added up to. Food Lists tell you which foods got you there. It's the difference between knowing you went over on fat and knowing it was the salad dressing. Everyone can see the charts. Premium members also get the ranked list of foods underneath them, so patterns you'd never spot in a pie chart become obvious in about three seconds.
Where to find your Food Lists
Food Lists live below the charts on the Nutrition screen. Choose what you want to look at first, then scroll down.
iOS
- Open the MyFitnessPal app and tap the More menu. If you don’t have the More menu in your app, tap your Profile Icon in the upper right instead.
- Tap Nutrition.
- Tap the Calories, Nutrients, or Macros tab at the top.
- Scroll below the chart to see your Food List.
- Tap View More to open the full list.
You can also reach the Nutrition screen by tapping the macro card at the top of your Today page.
Android
- Open the MyFitnessPal app and tap the More menu in the bottom right.
- Tap Nutrition.
- Tap the Calories, Nutrients, or Macros tab at the top.
- Scroll below the chart to see your Food List.
- Tap View More to open the full list.
View More appears only when you've logged more than five foods for that date.
You can also reach the Nutrition screen by tapping the macro card at the top of your Today page.
Website
- Log in to the website using the same email and password you use with the app.
- Click Reports in the top menu.
- Click the Down Arrow next to “Choose a report” and select a nutrient from the Nutrition section.
- Scroll below the chart to see your Food Lists.
What your Food Lists show you
Each list ranks the foods you logged from highest to lowest for whatever you're viewing.
- On the Calories tab, you'll see which foods contributed the most calories.
- On the Macros tab, you'll see three lists, one each for protein, carbs, and fat.
- On the Nutrients tab, tap any nutrient to see the foods highest in it, from fiber to sodium.
Switching between Day and Week view changes the list too. A single day shows you what happened; a week shows you what's becoming a habit.

Frequently asked questions
My Food List is empty. What happened?
Food Lists are built from what you logged on the date you're viewing. If you haven't logged anything that day, there's nothing to rank yet. Log a meal, or use the date selector to move to a day you did log.
Do I need Premium to see the charts too?
No. The charts on the Nutrition screen are free for everyone. Premium adds the ranked list of foods below each chart. Without Premium, you'll see a sample list instead of your own foods.
Is Food Lists available in my country and language?
Yes. Food Lists is available worldwide, in every language MyFitnessPal supports, on iOS, Android, and the website.
What happens to my Food Lists if my subscription ends?
Your logged food stays exactly where it is. You'll keep the free charts, and the ranked Food Lists go back to showing a sample. Resubscribing brings your own lists right back.
Where can I compare the tiers?
