How to post a photo in the forums

This article explains how to post a photo in the MyFitnessPal forums, with step-by-step instructions for both iOS and web users. The photo posting feature is not available on the MyFitnessPal Android app, so Android users should follow the website instructions using a mobile browser.

 

You can post a photo in the forums on iOS or on the web in just a few steps. This feature is not currently available on Android, so the option to add photos will not appear in the app. Android users can still post photos by following the website instructions in a mobile browser.

iOS:

How to create a new discussion, question, or idea with a photo:

  1. Start by opening the MyFitnessPal app
  2. Tap the More menu
  3. Scroll down and tap Community
  4. Tap the plus (+) button in the bottom right corner
  5. Choose whether you want to start a new discussion, ask a question, or share a new idea
  6. On the next page, pick the category for your post
  7. Type a title and add your message. You can add tags if you want
  8. Tap the Upload Image icon. It looks like a mountain with a sun inside a square
  9. Select Photo Library, Take Photo, or Choose File. Photo Library shows your saved photos. Take Photo lets you snap a new one. Choose File lets you upload from your phone's storage

  10. Once you’ve chosen your image and are happy with your post, tap Post Discussion

     

How to add a photo to an existing discussion, question, or idea:

  1. Start by opening the MyFitnessPal app
  2. Tap the More menu
  3. Scroll down and tap Community
  4. Select the existing discussion you'd like to add your comment or photo to
  5. Tap the Upload Image icon. It looks like a mountain with a sun inside a square
  6. Select Photo Library, Take Photo, or Choose File. Photo Library shows your saved photos. Take Photo lets you snap a new one. Choose File lets you upload from your phone's storage
  7. Once you’ve chosen your image and are happy with your post, tap Post Discussion

  4. Click the + New Post button in the upper right corner of your screen

  6. On the next page, select a category for your post
  7. Enter a title and write your message. You can also add tags if you like
  8. Click the Upload Image icon, which looks like a mountain and sun inside a square. You can also drag and drop a photo into the main text box
  9. Choose the photo you want to upload from your computer

  10. When you're ready and happy with your post, click Post Discussion
