If you wish to report another user, please contact us through the following methods:
Web:
- Visit www.myfitnesspal.com/help then click “Submit a Request” at the top of the page.
App:
- Select More > Help > then tap “Contact Support”
- Or contact an MFP Staff member directly by sending us a Private Message.

To block private messages:
MyFitnessPal allows users to connect with each other through messaging. If you’d prefer to limit your interactions with someone, you can easily block them from sending you messages. Currently, this setting is available on our website only, but any user you block will also be restricted from contacting you on the app.
To prevent a user from sending you more private messages, you need to have received a message from that user in order to access the settings to block them.
- Log in to your account at www.myfitnesspal.com. If you primarily log in through the app, use the same username and password that you use on the app.
- After logging in, click the envelope icon at the top of the screen, next to your username, to access your inbox.

Open the private message from the user you wish to block. When the message opens, you will see “Block User” next to Reply and Delete. Press “Block" to prevent further communication from this user.
*If this user is on your friends list, they'll still be able to view your profile, but private messages will be disabled. If you decide you’d like to change things up, feel free to unfriend them anytime! Your comfort and privacy matter, and you have the control to manage your connections.

To adjust your account privacy:
When you join MyFitnessPal, you are joining a community-based program, and other members can view some of your information.
Your food diary is private, by default, but you may choose to make this visible to your friends or all users.
If you would prefer not to have your profile page visible to other users on the site, you can change your profile privacy settings.
Web:
- Log into your account with your email and password.

Click ‘Settings’ at the top of the page.
- Once settings are open, select ‘Privacy settings’.

Here you can select one of four options: Everyone, MyFitnessPal Members Only, My Friends Only, and Myself Only.
App:
- Please log in to the website to make the changes to your profile. Any changes made there will be saved on your mobile device as well.

Please note that even with a profile set to "Myself Only," another member may send you a Friend Request. You may accept or refuse this request, or click the small triangle under their photo in the Friend Request screen, and choose "Block User" to prevent future contact.
