Got a question about protein? A win worth celebrating? A recipe your whole family devoured? The Community forums are where members share it all. Every post, big or small, helps someone else feel a little less alone on their journey. Here’s how to jump in.
There are three types of posts: Discussions, Questions, and Ideas. Learn how to choose between a Discussion, Question, or Idea.
How to Post in the Forums
Apps:
- Open the MyFitnessPal app.
- Tap the Profile icon to open the Menu.
- Scroll down and tap Community.
- Tap the floating + button in the lower right.
- Choose Discussion, Question, or Idea.
- Pick a forum category that matches your post, such as Getting Started, Fitness and Exercise, or Success Stories, etc.
- Add your title and body, then tap Post.

- Please note: You can only post ideas in the Feature Suggestions and Ideas category.
Website:
- Log in to the MyFitnessPal website using the same email and password you use with the app.
- Click Community.
- Pick a forum category that matches your post.
- Click New Post in the top right, or the + in the lower right.
- Choose Discussion, Question, or Idea.
- Pick a forum category that matches your post, such as Getting Started, Fitness and Exercise, or Success Stories, etc.

How to reply to a forum post
- Open the MyFitnessPal app, or log in to the website using the same email and password you use with the app.
- Go to Community and open the post you’d like to reply to.
- Type your reply in the Leave a Comment box at the bottom.
- Tap or click Post Reply.

The main Community forums are public, so anyone on the internet may see your posts. Once something is public online, copies can be hard to remove completely. Private groups are different.
